I was wondering how much I should expect to pay...

I had new straps put on and just the top altered and it is costing me $125. I still have to get the bottom done when my date gets closer. I was told to expect to pay about 250

my alterations are capped at $125.00 and that includes the bustle.

I think they said the cap is $240, the bustle is $90 extra and I'm getting straps added, I don't think they are included in the cap price

I was capped at $150 but since the dress was a hallow-to-hem, the alterations will not be anywhere near that.

I don't remember what the bustle will cost - it was a certain $$ per point.

doesnt include bussel but I have a detachable train.

I'm at 200 - something. I need 2 sets of cups at $15 a set. The price of vanity... well, it's still cheaper than a boob job.

I had the length taken up, cups put in and a french bustle, and it cost me $277- I also brought my dress in from another salon, so I didn't think that was too bad.

i paid $400 for the alterations and the bustle - totally worth every penny!

If I remember correctly, I paid approx $350 for cups, hem, bustle & pressing at a bridal shop where I did not purchase the dress (I ordered from bridesave).

Mine are capped at 150., then I pay 10.00 per point and my dress will take 5 points.

I am paying WAY TOO much at RK Bridal for alterations.
$500 for bustly, shortening hem, shortening the train, and taking in the skirt to be less poofy...I was also told if I lose weight and they have to take the dress in again, it will be an additional $100...crazy!
Luckily, the prices of their dresses are less expensive than other places, so I guess when all is said and done it will equal the cost of an average wedding dress.

For the girls that got their alterations at a bridal salon other than where you purchased your dress, which salons did you use? I'm going to order off of houseofbrides.com and I need to find a seamstress.

MINE IS CAPPED AT $250 - PLUS $10 PER
BUTTON FOR THE BUSTLE.....
BUT I HAD IT MADE HALLOW-TO-HEM WHICH WAS $100 SO NOW IT WILL BE $150 PLUS THE BUSTLE....

I think they are capped at $400 for everything...
