How Much Are You Paying for Flowers?

Original post by SummerBride2005

Hi ladies,

Can you please post how much you will be spending on flowers? Please include size of wedding party and number of tables? Please also specify if the quote includes flowers for the ceremony. I have around 15-16 tables, 5 bridesmaids and 5 groomsmen. I'll also need flowers for the ceremony. So far, I've gotten quotes between 1,600 - $2,500. I'd like my budget to be around $2,000 max. I hope it's a realistic budget!

I'm also using Flowers by Emil. Let me see if I can remember everything we're getting for $1000:

Bride's Bo-k (2-2 1/2 doz roses)
6 female attendant bok-s (6 gerberas and bear grass)
Toss bo-k
Groom Bout (2 roses and stephanotis)
7 male attendant bouts (2 daisies)
2 ring bearer bouts (like grooms, but smaller)
2 mothers corsages (2 roses)
3 grandmothers corsages (single rose)
2 reader's corsages (single rose)
1 officiant corsage - she's a friend of ours (single rose)
2 dad's bouts (2 roses)
2 grandfathers bouts (1 rose)
1 large bag of petals for flower girl, to line the aisle, to sprinkle on the cake and cake table, and on the placecard table
1 arch top that will also be used for the dais (roses, gerberas, and hydrangea)
12 CPs (roses, gerberas, and hydrangea in galvanized buckets that I am providing)

I think that's everything... :o)

Somewhere between $3600-4000 I think, including decorations for the ceremony room at our hall. It's a little high considering that we only have 3 BMs, 3 GMs and about 10-12 high CPs. I'm using only roses and hydrangea but I asked that there not be any greenery, so the CPs are very tight and I guess they have to use more flowers. Also, I had to choose one of the 2 house florists for my hall (Arcadia and Diana Gould) so I'm sure that increased the price as well. Good luck!

We paid $470 (I did not have floral CPs. I used candles) For $470, we got:

my bo-k
5 BM bo-k
1 throw away bo-k
9 bouts
2 crsgs for the mothers
1 doz roses for my cake and cake table
a flower arrangement for the church altar
and a BIG bag of petals for tossing at the church

I goe a lot of compliments on my flowers...and they lasted right through til the next day and looked great!
