How much are you paying for lighting? W/poll

Just got a call from the lighting guy, the best one in our area and he seems very reasonsable... He gave us the following package:

8 uplights ($30 per fixture) = $240
1 cake spot ($50) = $50
14 table spot ($30 per table) = $420
1 bar spot ($50) = $50
5 exterior uplights ($30) = $150
3 dance floor wash ($60) = $180
Delivery = $150

Total $1240

How much are you girls paying and what kind of lighting are you getting?

I am getting pinspot lighting for my tall arrangements. It's party of my floral package but I think it's about 800?

I am in the mid range. Really like my lighting guys. They are very nice. Can't wait to see what it will look like.

we're just doing perimeter lighting thru our dj which was $875 and then we bought led tea lights for our centerpieces vases which came to $30

no its a personal choice and not something you have to do...But you seen weddings with the pink, blue lighting any other colors, gives the room a different look

They don't allow too much of it at the Estate (older building and older electric outlets). Tommy Tunes is using some, but not too much.

I honestly didn't think about lighting.

My wedding is in the evening....not sure what kind of lighting I would do it I had it.

So I probably won't do any.

$0 - our dj is doing it for us - he's just doing uplighting all around the room in a winterish blue color - he's done it before in other colors and it looked good so he told us he'd do it for us too - so its basically just the walls around the perimeter of the room that will be colored - i think i will love it - when we see the room before the reception we can decide not to use them if for some reason we dont like the way it looks - im sure that wont happen but its good to have the option and its great that we arent paying anything for it

it sounds like you are getting a lot of stuff - it will probably look really great and the price doesnt seem that high to me at all - but i also know nothing about lighting prices

not doing anything special just a lil bit that the dj would provide...nothing extra...maybe some white lights to make the arbor pop a lil

What will be the difference between doing thru a lighting guy or a DJ? We are thinking about purple and blue lighting.

We're just doing lighting for the dancing. My DJ is including this for free. We will have a lot of candles lit, plus the room comes with 2 huge chandeliers for ambience.
