How much are you spending on invitations??

I need to order invitations for 180 and I have no idea as to what they cost. What's reasonable or not. Can anyone add any advice?

Thanks

Invitations can range from under $100 for 100 plain white folding invites with inner/out envelopes and 100 rsvps sets Such as these
to well over $20 per invite for something like this silk invitation box lined in suede and invite in what I think is hand calligraphy

There are tons of price points in between and it all depends on what you want.

Try these for startes

American Wedding - inexpensive

Now & Forever - some are $50 or less per 100 invites

Princess Wedding Invitations - discount invites 25% - 35% off retail

Rexcraft - order direct - free samples

Scrolls

The Dream Gardens custom invites

I think mine came out to a little over 500 with invitation, RSVP card, Reception card and lined envelope. One suggestion- order 25 extra when you do- it's MUCH cheaper than ordering 25 extra later if you need them!! Even if it's just 25 extra envelopes....for my invite it's something like $100 for 25 and $165 for 150!! I say staying at 1.00 to 2.25 per invite is reasonable. 3.00 is getting up there....but not crazy. My invite person said that she's seen brides pay 1,000 or more for invites!

YUP it is true..i am one of those brides. our invitations are costing a small fortune. to me, i reallly wanted these invites, but that is not as imp to every bride. We are spending well over $2000, but it was something that was worth it to me (JMO). not everyone feels the same way!
