I know what you're going through, at first FH and my family thought a $5000 wedding is doable and this is for 250 people!
thanks it's crazy, that $$ just for a few hours

Re: how much are you spending on your wedding? Poll
Wedding Ceremony/Reception costs, Honeymoon, and E-ring we are way under 20K. I know this may not seem like a lot of money to some LI Brides, but for two college grads with an extensive amount of student loan debt who are paying for it themselves CASH ONLY it is A LOT of $$$

We didn't set an actual budget which we should but it's always hard to tell b/c you don't expect to add and take away certain things. We have a range and I'm hoping not to go over it but the hall alone is money!
Originally he wanted like a BBQ lol - not literally but we were like oh 100-150 people - yea that's like just my family lol we have about 220 on the guest list! You don't realize how many people you are close w/and work people and then people bring guests. We are not inviting childern I refuse to pay $75 for chicken fingers so only first cousins that are children are invited.
I should serve them all chicken and hot dogs and hamburgers and wine.

probably about 50K when all is said and done (including HM & rings). We had an initial budget, but that didn't quite work.

This is where we're at, & we're paying cash for everything, but we're havign help from both sides of Parents (about 30k) and we're just about matching that (or spending a lil more) & FH is freaking out

Excluding the e-ring, somewhere between 35 and 40,000. That's what I had bugeted based upon 190 people attending the wedding. Looks like it might be about 165, so the costs will come down - less CP, less RH costs.

Re: how much are you spending on your wedding? Poll
My goal was to keep it to $10,000 for the wedding. We're a little over, but not much. With honeymoon, e-ring and all the little things I'm sure I'll pick up right before we should come to about $14-15,000 for a Saturday night in Sept. I think we're doing great but FH thinks it's over the top and not worth it.

Stopped counting at 20,000. Made me a little sick. Parents are paying for reception. We paid everything else so my cost was less!!!

I refuse to blow a ton of money for one day. It's not my style. We are in no way skimping but I managed to get great deals. Dress and everything wedding related is about $14,000.
Shut up!!! Just to let you know your 'offically' my hero, I'm so jelous!
I must be a godness then because my wedding is going to be around $10,000
Just one word : How?

about 20k counting the ering and wedding band and honeymoon. We are only having around 100 people in order to keep the price down and we had it on a off season night (sunday) keeps the costs down that and we are not going nuts on flowers!

We are inviting 300...large families... without E-ring i would say 55-60 (More people, more tables., more flowers., more favors., etc etc...
With e-ring I have no idea what it costs. He wont tell me =(
