How much did everyone pay for

their petticoats (crinoline) I need a super full petticoat without hoops and I haven't found anything for under $90. I really don't want to pay that much.

I found a vendor on ebay selling the one I wanted for $23, but then the shipping was $47!

I don't remember, I bought it at David's but it wasn't that full.

BUT - it can very easily be made. The material is dirt cheap (like $2 a yard) speak to your seamstress. My mom was going to make mine (the day before, meanwhile my dress was still not ready...) but I bought it.

Jess, I'm having Pinina sew it in for me.

my seamstress wants me to buy it...I honestly think it will be too heavy for her to make....she is 83!! and she said b/c it's so big that it will be easier for me to have it separate from the dress.

Good luck in your search girlie! I'll let you know if I think of anything...although the only thing I can think of is the garment district/wholesale or borrowing a fellow bride's.

Someone recently asked if anyone would like to lend theirs and Amy (NYBride) graciously gave hers up...it's worth a shot!

Try to borrow if you can...ridiculous to buy it more than $50 and never use it again.

I checked it out, but they don't seem to have them without hoops, which is what I need.

That was my 'something borrowed'
I borrowed it from one of my friends!
When my sister got married a few months after me, she borrowed the same one!

My friend was happy to lend it out, it's not like she would ever wear it again!

Theres also a thread where newlyweds have posted things they are selling from their weddings..someone may have a crinoline for sale.

Not sure where the list is..BHB or Newlyweds..if someone knows what Im talking about -maybe they can bump it?
