how much did you band (music) cost??

went to my first showcase tonight - i thought the band (code bleu) was really good. but i dont have anything to compare to. from past posts like this, the price they gave seemed 'good' for a band ($5950).

if you dont mind please post or FM what you spent on a band. im going to a few more showcases but im not sure if what you pay for with a band ultimately equals the quality you get.. anyone know of any GREAT bands that are $3k or under??

we chose Heart and Soul (Franklin Wayne Music--check out his website) ... they have a bunch of different bands (b/c I can't really recommend H&S since they are booked for our date, by us-- which is your date, sorry!!!) but I can recommend Vision which was our second fave!!! They are GREAT and they have a horn section It's awesome-- good luck in your search.

BTW, H&S is charging us $6400 for our big day!

I got a wonderful band for a STEAL!!!!

Check out goodcleanfunband.com. We are paying them $2300.00 for a musician at the cocktail hour and then 6 musicians at the reception. Granted we are a February wedding and that is why he gave us a gododeal, but I know he will work with you and I would think you get him down quite a bit.... I think he usualyl starts at $4K.

They are a band that specializes in weddigns and particualrly Irish weddings, which is why I booked them. I needed a band that will play some of the jigs and reels and songs from 'home' that my parents will want to hear, but I also wanted your typical pop/rock music for a wedding. I am very hapyp with my choice and I think you will be tooo, check them out.

FYI: they're not like a lot of these bands at showcases, there will be no horns and trumpets.etc. it's two guitars, a bass, a keyboard, 2 singers and drums.... they will also play the Irish instruments if you would need that.
