We went to Lion in the Sun yesterday, and they have some gorgeous invites, but the only ones we agreed on were so expensive. I just wanted to see what you girls paid for your invitations. Thanks!

This is another one of those areas where prices will vary greatly with taste & preferences. We paid approx $675 for 125 invites, rsvp cards and informals (thank yous) with return address printing.
for all of our invite products...STD...invites...TYs...placecards...we spent almost $1000!!
We just loved them...and it sets the tone for the wedding...and to argue over a few hundred dollars seemed silly...since we saved $1000s on the hall having it on a Sunday afternoon

We haven't gotten them yet, but pretty much picked them out. For everything, we're going to spend about $900-1000 (for 125 invites)

i got mine at party city for just under 200.00 for 75 invites, response, reception, both envelopes with colored writing and return adressess. It was a fairly simple design, but they have a big selection and they discount between 20-30%. I received them in less than a week from ordering them and they actually gave me extra of everything (about 8 of everything)

And I thought that my cards were really expensive! I ordered them from India and the shipping alone was over $100. It came out to about $475 for 225 cards. It is a big card with one insert, RSVP card and envelope, printing on both sides of inside card with 2 different ink colors and wording and picture on the big envelope. I'll try to attach a picture.

We got a quote of $840 for 100 invites and response cards.

We looked through so many books! And we narrowed it down to a few, and believe it or not, those were the cheapest that we picked I guess I like the quality of the paper. I will have to go back and look again. Or even make them, I got many ideas looking at the actual invites. I just need to find envelopes, that is the only think keeping me from making them completely by hand, I can't find envelopes that are nice quality.
