He wants a plain one and my aunt works for a jeweler in the diamond district so we'll be getting our jewelry through her.. Probably spend around 200-300

I'm not sure of the exact amount, yet, but WE are getting him a 6mm platinum band. Probably in the $600-700 range.

Actually, it was free! He had a gift certificate from the store that he bought my e-ring at that went towards his band. All he wanted was a simple titanium ring and it worked out to be the value of the gift certificate!

FH and I havn't bought his ring yet. We'll start looking soon. I want him to get yellow gold b/c it will match the only other jewelry he wears....a thin gold chain with a small yankee charm on it that I got him for his bday. His job prevents him from wearing jewelry b/c its a safety hazard and he works in Manhatten so I dont expect him to wear it on the train rides and lose it when he gets to work. It will be for the weekends and when hes on his vacations...I want some diamonds in there and I want to engrave it inside saying 'always and forever' Helzberg Diamonds has a lot of nice rings for guys and good pricing. $850 It's white gold with several little diamonds in it. We got it at Macys when they were running this big sale and we got an additional 5 or 10% off for registering there. We saved a lot on it. It's his first piece of jewelry besides a watch and he always wants to wear it around our apartment but never outside. He says he has to be patient and wait.
