Re: How much did you spend on flowers?
We paid a poop-load. However, I have very strong feelings on this topic. If you have the $$$ to spend on flowers without going into hock or paying off credit cards for years then go for it. If not, then scale it down.I was really tired of people telling me 'Oh flowers die...BLAH BLAH BLAH' to which I would reply, 'Well food gets digested and ends up in a toilet so whats your point?'
Bottom line: Do what you and your families (or whoever else may be paying for your wedding) can afford to do.

I totally agree.
Go with what you can afford and want. There is no reason to be ashamed of any amount of money spent on flowers if this is something you really want.

Re: How much did you spend on flowers?
This is precisely why I tried to divert questions regarding how much we paid for things on this here website. Many are way too judgemental. We all come from very different socio-economic backgrounds. We all have different sources and resources for the money to pay for our weddings. All of us have different budgets. If I were a suddenly a mega-milions winner the week before my wedding, do you think I would have left things as they were? Hell no. I would have added 5 more pieces to my band, doubled the flowers and maybe added a second videographer. I may have even called Sylvia Weinstock to make us a cake.

Think about it though, when you look through the hundreds of proofs you will have are you going to put the picture of the flowers on your tables or the picture of the slab of prime rib in your album. 'Wow honey, that was some piece of meat!'

Re: How much did you spend on flowers?
First ... all of the replies were great! Especially about the budgets and backgrounds being different. For me... I had something else in mine with my theme for the centerpieces instead of doing flowers. I spent 683.... for the girls flowers which are presentation cala lilies guys bouteniers whicha re mini cala lilies coursages for mom dad and ushers and coordinators mini pastel rose bouquet for the mini bride and my bouquet and toss and two flower baskets for the church which I will give to my coordinators to say thank you....
I love flowers but my budget made me be more creative but was really happy for the price since I was able to get cala lillies which tend to be pricey.
Get what you love and can afford... me creative if you have to :)

5 BM bo-ks
2 small bo-ks for mothers
1 heart shaped bridal bo-k w/ rhinestones (60 roses)
customized aisle runner

I went about $300 over budget, but I don't regret a thing, everyone raved about the flowers and I loved them!!
