Well she performed a service - and I am all against this whole you have to tip everyone - but she did an AMAZING job on my dress

I didn't tip mine cash, but I did bring her a beautiful bo-k when I went to pick up my dress. I had seen other girls pick up their wedding gowns and never noticed anyone bring a gift or tip, so I'm guessing it's not done that often.

Ditto! I had no idea you tip the seamstress!! Ugh - this stinks...

I really don't think you have to. I'm sure it would be appreciated, but by no means is it necessary. My seamstress looked so surpised when I gave her the flowers, I really don't think it's done often.

I got my dress @ RK and tipped the seamstress 50.00 and the girl that always got me dressed and made my appointments 20.00

My mother is a seamstress....I remember about a year ago when she fixed bm dresses they tipped her $50.

I never heard of tipping them. I mean, the girl who answers the phone provides a service too, should I tip her? Or the cashier at Stop and Shop?? LOL, I'm just teazin!!! I just think of how I'm going to be eating cat food when I'm done paying for everything!

my alterations costed about $400, so no tip

We either did $50 or $100. I can't remember, but wanted to post to let you know I did tip her.
