How much did you/are you paying

For your FH/DH wedding band. The one my FH wants is $725 with no diamonds (it is a white gold band)

We got DH's in the diamond district and he got a platinum band no stones for $250 I think.

My DH's band is also white gold and it was almost $900 - no diamonds. I paid less...but depending on the style and size they can get pricey...although a lot cheaper than platinum.

ETA: My DH's ring...

His wedding band was ~800. It was platinum with no stones. Consider how much my ring was I didn't complain.

We splurged...his was $1500 - it's a Christian Bauer.

I thought 725 was alot for white gold but he likes it so what the heck. It is 8mm too which is why it is more that I thought it would be. I guess we'll splurge.

Ours were orginally $1000 each, but we got them both on sale for $500 each.

Go to Tri County! Honestly, you can't beat the prices there!

I just have to say that FH and I got plain white gold bands. Because of our faith (jewish), it is required that the brides wedding ring be smooth, solid gold and no markings whatsoever. We even had to have the 18k on the inside smoothed out by the jeweler. My band cost 49.99 and his was 129.99. We bought them at a VERY reputable jeweler, the same place he bought my e-ring from. He did ask me if I wanted a different ring to wear after the wedding. But being the sentimental mush I am, I want to only wear the ring I get married in.

FH band is white gold, no diamonds, but the edges of the band are faceted and the center is rough polished, I think it is 7 mm (might be 6), and is $400.

Over $3000?!?!

My FH's was $150. I let him pick it out and he fell in love with it. He's going to be wearing it, so I'd rather it not be something he wants to take off.

I think my DH has the same band only in titanium...it was 95$

I think the one he liked is $175... It is a thin platinum band.

I was told that there couldn't be 'holes'. I didnt realize there couldn't be markings. I think it may depend on the rabbi. This was my mother's original ring. It was solid with no holes but it did have engavings on both the outside and the inscription on the inside. I am having is soldered back together (she had it sawed off when she got prego with my sister) to fit me to use for my ceremony then I will switch it to my right hand and use the solid platinum band FH is getting for me but I am keeping all engravings in tact. My parents were marrried 49 years, I could never erase that inscription no matter what the 'laws' are.

Goldi - That's beautiful you are wearing your mother's ring!! It must make her so happy.
I'm sure it depends on the rabbi and the 'sect' We are not at all very religious, but I wanted the rabbi I grew up with the perform the ceremony, and I grew up going to a Lubavitch Chabad, so he is very strict in what we need to do and have for our ceremony.
