My sister is getting married on 3/29 and I'm her MOH, so I offered to buy the groom's cake for her rehearsal dinner. I contacted a bakery in Brooklyn that someone on here recommended, and they want $8 per serving. Since my sister is having 9 attendants on each side, there are going to be about 45-50 people at the rehearsal dinner. I really wasn't planning on spending $400 on this cake!!!
So, my questions are: (1) Am I being overcharged? and (2) Can you recommend somewhere less expensive?

the tradition is that the single women at the wedding got a piece to take home, put it under her pillow, and dream of finding the love her life

its really a southern tradition the brides would get the big white nice cake and guys would get their own..smaller..and usually chocolate cake...and it was normally shaped or themed as something that the groom loves
