I'm trying to get an average of what vendor will cost for photo's(just our album and digital disk and 1 11x14), limoo(2 basic, 12 pass), dj (with mc), bridal party flowers only. I'm not looking for anything fancy but i want good service and reliablity. Is $5,000 (less is better)reasonable for a total for these vendors? I you can suggest with price i would be greatful. THANKS!

There are definitely so many variables with each vendor and there are low end, middle and high end for each type of vendors etc....but that said I would guess that $5000 is still a pretty low estimate for all of that stuff combined. You can find a lot of information out on these boards through seaches. Good luck planning!

I was at about $12,000 for just the vendors you mentioned (photo/video, flowers, dj & mc, 2 limos), but I had more in my photo/video package and my flower total included centerpieces.

That's not wildly impossible. The limo's might be tough (maybe pick up and drop off only), and you might not get an album (so make sure you have the rights to your photos, then you can just make one yourself on the cheap).
FWIW, $5k covered all of my vendors (with maybe $500 wiggle room).

i think it depends on who you book with, but you can def. try and stay in the 5k price range.

I'm sure if you really tried you could def. do it all for 5K give or take a bit. You may have to compromise on a bit, but that's totally up to you. Just my photographer is about 4200....

My photog alone costs over $5,000. My guess is that total for all those vendors, I'll be spending over $12K

it depends - i think you can def find vendors and come in at around 5K but you may have to sacrifice on some things KWIM? but nobody says you HAVE to go all out - at this point i dont even know why we are doing some of things we are doing my wedding is becoming a circus! look around, search the brides reviews - you may find some good vendors with great prices!
Where there is a will there is a way. There are tons of ways to save on things, and a lot of great advice offered on the net. Let GOOGLE be your friend. 1) Negotiate EVERYTHING. Do not be afraid to ASK....Me to my vendor :'I really love your work, but your slightly higher than my budget allows, is there anything....' 2) DIY projects 3) To cut out Limos, we are getting married and having the reception at the same place. 4) Roses, cheap! cheap! 5) EBAY 6)Davids Bridal, Barrons 7) We booked our hall3 months before the wedding...sometimes you can get a GREAT deal if you negotiate a not so popular day/time of year.

My photo/video is 5K
But DJ and flowers are only 1800. So if you want to sacrafice for the photo/video maybe no albums and maybe no video you can def do it for under 5k total.

these prices I got Nov-Dec of 2006 so I don't know what the increase might be since then.
but the most reasonable prices I found with companies that have reviews here - - ie not from Craigs list from someone know one has heard of (not that they would not be good, just no history on them and booking so far in advance, you'd like to know they will still be there )
anyway, $1500 for photog 10 hr shoot and DVD of proof pics. album extra starting at maybe $500 but can be ordered after.
$800-900 dj 1 person combo mc/dj for 4 hr reception, extra for CH. we used piped in music from RH for cocktail hour and no one missed 'live' music. so that's a thought for you. FM entertainment and High Voltage were the most reasonable and had good reviews.
sir Oliver and cruise control seemed the most reasonable for limos. we had 1939 caddy only @$400. 12 passenger was around 400-450.
so if you go in this range, you might make your budget. don't forget about all the tips. those get you to the poor house alot quicker

It definitely depends on what you are looking for. I have not looked into limos/transport yet but my current total for DJ, flowers & photog (I'm not doing video) is $3000
