How much do DJs cost?

How much do DJs cost?

I went to one last night they quoted me at $3500. I'm wondering if that's about right or too much.

it depends what u get...if u want the bells & whistles plasma, smoke, lights etc. it can get that high....but just for dj/mc thats 2 much.

I think that's a bit high.

We're using a friend, so it's a little different.

But, I definitely think that's high.

depends what is included in the package, and also some companies are more expensive than others.

i've been getting prices of $1500-$2000 which includes a DJ & MC, cocktail hour, intelligent lighting, and 2 plasmas for a photo montage.

Im paying a lot less than that..so that seems kind of high..I also know the guy were using..so that helps

We are doing the same and paying about the same.

Places vary,though... but I agree that you can get the works for less than $3500.

We got DJ/MC, lighting, CH music and a live drummer to play along all night for under $2000.

That sounds really high. You might just be looking at a very high end DJ.

It dependson the dj and the package you chose. I am paying $1900 for dj, mc, percussionist and lighting and cocktail

I got dj cocktail hour music a singer at dinner, danicing on a cloud and our name in light with butterflies for under 2000

I think it really depends on the package, because some people get the photo montage but its extra to get the photos which start at the church. It depends how many screen you are getting. It depends if they are house vendors. All of that comes into play so we would probably need more detail. And if you said starlite or FM entertainment or the likes they are good at what they do and that price is around there ball park. That is a few names but there are many out.
