We just went to one last weekend and I had posted, the going rate was anywhere between 25 -150. We gave 100, just figured that was somewhere in between. If everyone gives her cahs, what is a 16 year old going to do with that much cash. Im not familiar with where your s is held, ours was at the elks lodge, so we figured 100 was good. Hope this helps

Thanks Alicia!!! Your right about the cash with a 16 year old. Maybe a gift, jewelry would be better. Thinking back to my sweet 16, I think I got mostly jewelry.

I liked getting cash for my Sweet 16. I was able to put a substantial amount away to start a nice savings account.

even way back in the day lol when i turned 16 cash was my favorite gift. i was always picky and everyone knew i would just get what i wanted with the money
