How much do you have left after closing. I swear that you need to budget for 3 things.. 1. Downpayment on house 2. Closing costs 3. home improvements (even with a mint house)

we will be lucky if we have anythign left, which makes me so uncomfortable incase soemthign shoud happen but we had some finacial issues that came up recently.

DH and i did the math last nite...leaving ourselves a substantial amt in the bank for emergencies and next summers vaca....after closing and all is said and done, we have 17k left... thats to get our living rm sofas, tv and bdrm mattress, and dining rm sofas....looks like a lot of the work will have to be DIY.... let the fun begin this fall!!

FH & I just did all the numbers last night...We will have about $15K in the bank when we are all done with closing costs & what not...We are also still in the process of paying for our wedding...
We know it is going to be tight but luckily we don't have any major rennovations to be done

We have a little over 19k. We already did home shopping for supplies and furniture but I am so paranoid :(
