i THOUGHT I wouldnt spend a lot on my invites

lets just say - i am not posting how much i spent but they were the only ones that i liked and my mom liked them SO MUCH that she offered to pay for them.

Seriously i love my invites...I got FH to agree on them because we got 3 invites to weddings..and they were all nasty,...he even commented...

I work for a printing company and get a discount if I go thru my company to get my invites. My dad also works for a printing company and would probably get a good price too.

I really can't imagine spending more than $500. I want something very simple, elegant, and classic. My mom is also friends with someone who does beautiful calligraphy, so she'll address everything. I'm more worried about postage

hopefully since im planning on doing them myself i can spend under $500! I think when i looked into what i needed it came to a little under $400 and i'm still trying to get better deals.. so we shall see

This is one area I refuse to spend a lot. Our minimum is 175 and we'll be inviting well over 200. To be honest, I don't remember a single invitation I've ever gotten when I've been invited to a wedding.

Hahaha I actually do! But it's different for different people.

My friend has the scroll wedding invitation that came in a cylander container. That really makes you go wow though!

I wanted to do them myself because FH has a high end printer but he wants to get them done professionally.

On one hand it'll be one less time consuming thing for me to do but on the other hand, I don't want to spend a ton of money on something that people are going to throw away or lose!

i spent 30 bucks. BUT have to buy ink for printer so id say around $60-$80 total

the ones that i like are the expensive ones & FH keeps reminding me that its a peice of paper that people throw out- so I am trying to convince myself to get the less expensive ones and spend my money elsewhere.

Invitation consultants has some really nice invitations. Some are obviously more reasonable priced than other. But you should definately be able to find something in your budget.

I have to seriously cut back on my invitation budget but since we're doing the whole recycled- earthy thing I think i might go with these

OMG i cant believe how much invites are! People just throw them away - (well at least I do) lol

I need to find really nice DIY invites (that look like professional invites) to save $$$..... I rather spend the extra money on something else....

I have no idea how much invites cost, so I'm not sure yet. I would like to keep it under $500 but after reading this thread I don't know if that will happen.
