I'm thinking of selling my V6 and anthonys jeep for smaller 4 cylinder cars!

I hear you Amy! I have a Grand Prix 6 cyl which is actually pretty good on gas. but at $3 a gallon, I want a Hybrid! lol

this is SO depressing! thank GOD my commute is 15 miles, round trip!

FH has a 60 mile commute and his car needs premium (turbo). But he actually gets better gas mileage than I do.

I love my 4 cyl prizm...Its a gas sipper

To fill a hummer, it has to be at least $70.00 to fill the H2, and $100 to fill the H1.

I am not sure about the one that just came out, the H3...

My brother drives from Medford to Long Beach every day. Jeep Grand Cherokee
My sister drives from Medford to Merrick every day. Jeep Grand Cherokee
My dad drived from Medford to the city everyday. Grand Caravan
These prices are going to cause people to have to move closer to their jobs or start taking the train etc.

I cant imagine what they have to pay weekly!

How far do you all drive every day? Are you thinking of selling your car or taking the train because of this?

exactly! 50% of all cars on the road in the US are SUV's, which guzzle gas. this is one of the reasons that is driving up the cost of oil - supply & demand. (not talking about the hurricane, just in general).

Back in January we went to Vermont with another couple. He drives a hummer H2 and back then it cost just under $70 to fill the tank and I think it was a little under 1/4 full when we pulled in to the station.
He is lucky that he got rid of it cause now I bet it would be over $100 to fill.

I drive a Sebring Convertible and it cost me $40. Thats a lot compared to what I normally pay!

My mom just came over and said it was $3.40 something!!

Its just getting out of hand!

We recently borrowed a GMC Yukon Denali XL to take a trip upstate and it took $80 to fill the tank...that was a month & half ago...cannot even imagine what it would be today!

DH and I are switching cars. I've got the longer commute (much longer) and he's got the smaller car.

I actually love my SUV- I hate the gasoline prices- $50 to fill up today but I love my truck.

I agree, I have a Trailblazer that I love, but 50 bucks? That's crazy. I need to get my Honda Civic 5 speed back

in an article in the daily news today it stated $112 for a Hummer and about $56 for a Honda Accord, for a Honda Civic/Ford Focus about $45

My mini -van cost me $56 today

Edited to add:

There was also an article about gas being stolen from people's cars, sales for gas caps that lock are doubling.. at A& S Struass they are about $15 bucks
