for maitre d, it should be 2-3 dollars per guest, then I did half that for my assistant.
I also tipped my photo assistant (not the owner) the dj assistant (not the owner) somewhere around 25-50.
I tipped my flower delivery guys 15 each, and my priest 100, and my string trip 25 each.
I dont think I am forgetting anyone.
oh hair and makeup I think 20 each.

If you are having the ceremony at the reception hall and your minister is doing it not with a church/synagouge then they pocket the money you pay them anyway, you would still tip them on top of that?

that 18% is the service charge, which I believe is different than a gratuity. I believe this goes to the banquet manager or just to the hall but the gratuity you give the night of your wedding goes to the Maitre'd and waitstaff (servers, barbacks and bartenders as well as valet) The bridal assistant gets her own tip. the overall tip for the Maitre'd should be about 2 or 3 per person, meaning if you have 100 people you should give somewhere between 200 or 300 tip, which the Maitre'd then splits with the waitstaff. I guess you can also check with the hall to see what they would reccommend but in the end it comes down to whatever you feel comfortable giving.

i gave the bridal attendants 100 each and the maitre d 300. the videographers 250 so far and the d.j which i hated 100 and the photographer 150 so far.
