What do you normally tip for a hair cut and something like hilights? I'm just trying to see if what I do is ok.

20% but it really adds up when you have someone to shampoo, one person for cut, and another for color....

Re: How much do you tip for hair?
My hairdresser does my color and the cut. It cost me $100 and I tipped her $20 so I guess I did alright.

I would normally tip a person who tips my hairand cut it depending on the price. I would normally tip a person 15 dollars.

Re: How much do you tip for hair?
My tips usually total about 20%...
I split it between the stylist, the colorist and the person that washes. I sort of shuffle it...when I get color, the person that washes works on me more so I'll give more then.
