Re: How much do you tip the DJ?
IS there a percentage you are SUPPOSED to tip, as a guideline?

I was awalys told that you do NOT tip the 'owner' of a business. Have I been mis-informed? I don't want to not tip when I should.

It is not an offical rule but I think anyone that does a service for you that day (owner or not) deserves a tip.

General rule is not to tip the owner of a business.... but that seems to be changing, unfortunately!

I've heard anywhere from $50 to $100 is a good range for tipping the DJ (and if you have a MC)

$50 and $25 (or $75 and $50). I don't remember.

I tipped my oweners, but it was becuase they went above & beyond for my wedding & did a lot of hands on themselves. I tipped the DJ & MC $75 each (they are co-owners of the business)
