About $50 for your bridal gown and I also gave my fitter for my MOG gown $25. It was very much appreciated by both women.

i tipped mine $50....I didn't think you had to tip them but I wanted to bc she was so sweet and altered my dress to perfection.

i gave mine $100 cuz she did an amazing job last min taking my dress in 4 inches!!

I didn't tip mine, didn't think I had too. They charged a lot of money for alterations and I had to pay it all in cash, she can take her tip out of that! Is that mean!

nothing. i only had cups sewn in and the bustle and i saw her all of 5 min combined during my 2 fittings

your suppose to tip the seamstress!!!!!! ... does everyone now a days get tipped for doing their jobs cause i dont!!! (sorry im a little bitter about tips lately ... and i dont apply this attitude to waiters at all) ...

do i have to tip my seamstress who also is the owner of the dress shop (I got my dress at Bridal Elegance)!!!!????

i gave her 25 bucks...i only needed abustle and the top taken in so i thought that was ok

if i needed more work i prob would have given her more

she did two of my dresses and did a good job so i gave her $30

I didn't know I tipped for that too.

I got my dress at Kleinfeld's. Did anyone else get their dress there and tip? IDK what to do now??

I have to agree with you!! It seems like EVERYONE gets a tip... EVEN the people who have tips included in the bill!!! YOU HAVE TO TIP THEM ONTOP OF THIER TIP!!! It's INSANE!!!

I have to be honest I had my last fitting tues and the dress fits abslutely perfect. I was sooo excited and emotional that I forgot to give the seamstress her tip in an envelope that I had set aside for her.

I want to leave the envelope for her when I p/u my dress.

I do agree about the tipping.....do you have to tip everyone now a days? i sure don't get tips,,,the only tip I get is 'good job' and we'll see you tomorrow

I was going to give her 50.00 bucks but wasn't sure If i was being too cheap or too generous.

i agree with this. these tips are getting out of hand!! unless my dress needs a massive amount of alterations i will not be tipping. maybe i can make some chocolate covered strawberries if the store does a good job. yes i rather spend the time doing that then giving out anymore money.

it really does get out of hand ... i dont think i am going to tip esp. since she is the owner and she is basically getting all the money for the alterations anyway ... and i am assuming the person who measures you and puts all the pins in is the seamstress right
