It really depends on who it is.

Friends, around $200, family closer to $300.

I think it also depends on how much you are putting toward the shower itself. I was in a BP where we each put $300 toward the shower....so I got her a smaller gift. Actually we all chipped in and got her bedding or something.

I paid for my sisters shower (with a little help from my aunt & friend) - the other 2 BMs lived out of state so they didn't attend - and I got her some lingerie. So I spent about $500.

I think it depends on whether you're contributing to the shower or not. If not, I'd say $200 is about right...if family member, I'd up it - at your discretion.

i'd say 250 -350 depending on how close you are....and how much you spent on the shower...

my girls all chipped in $150 per girl and then MOH did a little extra gift

for my brother's wedding i spent about $200 on the gift on top of the the $300 for my part of the shower. My friends wedding cost me $100 for my part of the shower and the gift i bought also cost $100
I was able to spend alot more 3 years ago b/c i too wasn't planning a wedding at the same time!
