How much does a band cost anyway?

Hi girls, I have a date with a band tomorrow night and have no idea how much they typically cost. We are going to do some strings for the ceremony, jazz for the cocktail hour and some jazzy disco-y stuff for the reception. Can anyway tell me what they've paid for abopt 6 hrs on a Sat in Sept? I need something to base this meeting on! Thanks!

It really depends on the band and the package. Anywhere from $5-12k.

I've seen a few lower than that, but none with strings or anything like that. HTH.

I'm paying $5,000 for a 9 piece band for the full hour reception + a pianist and saxophone player at the CH. They are on the less expensive side, but amazing!

Ours was 6k for a keyboard and flute for the ceremony, piano and sax for CH, 8-pc band for the reception. Most packages like this run between 5-8k. Good luck!
