How much does a floral dais usually cost? Does it usually run the same amount as a centerpiece? TIA

Almost every florist I have quoted throw in the floral dais at no charge.

ours was also thrown in for no charge (but I am sure its figured into the overall price wanyway)...

could someone please explain to me what this is? is this the floral arrangement at the bride and groom's table? is it necessary? i was just thinking of placing my bo-k as well as the BMs bo-ks on our table.
