Ok..I know there is no set amount and it depends on the planner..
but ball park? Is it a set amount or is it a percentage of the wedding cost?
I watch ' who's wedding' and these coordinators really work hard for months!. From planning, to setting up the reception, to making favors. Seems invaluable really. How nice that they take care of everything the day of too. I mean.. ive seen on the show where a vendor doesnt show up and the planner takes the calls and handles everything and even handles finding a 2nd option..
Just kinda wondering what the cost is for having this luxury.

I got a couple of quotes and it was looking like around $1500. It definitely varies from person to person though.

It varies on how much work they have to do. Do you mean for the day of or from start to finish? I think for the latter the prices usually start (at a minimum) of $1,500 but quickly escalate from that. When I shopped around for Day of services, they ranged form $500-$1,500.

To tell you the truth they are not worth it, when you can do just as better things as they do. The only thing they are good for is the little details and such. My RH provides one complimentary but at the end you have to pay

Thats right, I dont think so, they will kinda pisss me off, what if I dont like something and do they, I have seen to many episode of Whose Wedding, lol. 5000 can go towards the hall , your dress, or your HM etc etc

I suppose if you are someone that has absolutly zero time to meet vendors and stuff.. its worth it.
Im pretty detailed and love to do the leg work and have the time.
But.. maybe a day of?
I say this because at my first wedding many moons ago... I had zero help. I was at the reception area setting up things running around..etc. I got back to my room.. had 30 minutes to do my hair , get my dress on and run out the door. It was way too hectic. I guess if you have people in your life that you can count on... its helpful..LOL

it definately depends on what company you go with. I'm using Perfect Wedding Planner I get their services 'free' built into my RH fee b/c I'm a Scotto Bros bride BUT i'm paying extra for DoC. For 2 DoC i'm paying around 950+tax in March Not all cooridinators or planners will do ALL the extra work like making the favors and stuff so make sure you talk to them about their service before judging based on price alone. hope that helps

I got a quote from Knot to be Forgotten for $1250 for day of coordinator. She was a lovely lady, but I felt that in the end, I just didn't need that extra support. A close friend of mine once worked for a wedding center, and she has offered to help me out with any little details on the day of. Plus, as a lawyer, I felt comfortable negotiating the contracts and prices by myself. My FH is in the car business and he loves to negotiate!!
