I pay $55. He's the owner, so no tip...but before he was the owner, I was paying $75 with tip.

So glad he bought the place!

14.00 w/ a coupon! at www.haircraze.com
and then I pay Five bucks extra for long hair and give my hairdresser a tip!

I used to pay $40, but then DH's aunt took me to the salon she works for and the guy did my hair for FREE!! of course I gave him a nice tip...

since I have moved I haven't found a place yet...I'm getting desperate

Marni - 'Vanity' on Merrick Ave near the train stn.
I have an appt with 'Lauren' coincidentally. I know it's bad, but it looks like a nice place... and I am easily swayed by a place that seems to be kept up to date! Plus the fact that they are one of the only places open later than 6pm.
So I guess $50 is about average

I dont think 50 is average just for a haircut
I paid that for a cut and highlights, well 55.00

And I wanted to add and ask.. why is it that they charge you differently for the length of your hair? When you are getting a cut only. I understand blowing out longer hair is more time consuming but why for a cut?

Re: how much does everyone pay for a haircut?

I go every 8 weeks now only b/c I'm growing my hair out. Before that, it was every 6 weeks. Once a month is a little aggressive for me - regardless of the price.

I've gone to less expensive places and, no offense, I feel you get what you pay for.

PS - I don't get my hair highlighted or colored...so I don't have that expense. And my hair is just at my chin now...so I don't know if he charges more for longer hair.

When I go to Space, I pay $90. He is the owner, so no tip. I have another place I pay $50 not including tip.
