Sod is very expensive, and it all depends on how big the area you want to sod is.

It really all depends on the size if the area you are looking to cover. How big is your yard?

It costs a TON OF MONEY. We were going to do our yard (65x160) and it was in the thousands. We had top soil delivered and planted seed ourselves. Did it last year - and we had a pretty nice lawn. This year its thicker. they say it takes 3 yrs to have a fully established lawn.
Side note - my friend sodded his house and paid a TON and half of it died.
