Is $250 for just me and my mom, IN THE SALON, ridiculous? Or is that normal? This is a quote we got from a makeup artist located in Oceanside, FM for more info. Also, I am open to suggestions for makeup artists.

I think it is I will be spending about $150 on make-up and having my BF put it on -she is really good and then I have the make-up

I´m not sure what current costs are but I´m a little nervous now. My sister said when she got married she got her hair and makeup done at a local salon (in Floral Park) and it only cost her $100 for both!! That´s all I budgeted and I´m already looking for ways to cut costs not increase them. I willhave to start realistically pricing them. Or I´ll do my own makeup and just get my hair done. My sister got married Jan 07 i guess a lot has changed.

that sounds about right....i'm paying $150 for me and then $75 for my mom. so $225 total.

All the prices I have seen are around $125.00 for the bride and anywhere from 50-100 for the attendants, I am guessing this is the usual and customary because it seems most people have the same prices!

I was ORIGIANLLY going to an upscale salon. The haor was going to be $85 and the airbrushing was going to be like $125.
I am now going to the salon at the hotel im staying at (Garden City Hotel) and the airbrushing is only $60 (lashes are extra) and the hair id $75.
So it sounds lile the high end but not unreasonable.

my make up was going to be 150 for me and 90 for everyone else if she came to my house- now that I am going to the salon its 75 for everyone.
Hair is about the same for an updo.

$250 for two people, one of whom is the bride, is actually a very reasonable rate.

The girl who is doing mine is $65 for BMs and $85 for me. I've already had a trial and it was great and she is coming to my house the morning of.

I think that is about right. Im paying $150 for me and $125 for bm. I love my make up artist though. im using christyann cosmetics! I highly recommend her!! she has her own website if you want to email her for a trial.

We're paying 125 for myself and 65 for bridesmaids, but she will be coming to my house.
ETA: this is for traditional makeup-not airbrush

That is alot since it is in a salon. Oksana is charing me $100 per person (3 person min). Since you are in Oceanside she may charge you more or have a higher min.
I had contacted a makeup artist who was located in Freeport. Sandra from Sultry Cosmetics. She is a vendor here. You may want to give her a try since she is so close and will come to you.
