I'm having a bit of sticker shock over the prices of flower girl dresses! The one that matches my BM dresses is $150 I feel like for a 5 year old who is going to outgrow it in a year, and only wear it once, its a bit much. Plus her mom is a BM and already shelling out for her BM dress. How much is the norm for FG dresses? Any suggestions for cheaper places to look? TIA!

it was 90.00 .. I got from the flea market and they took a swatch of my girls dresses and will make the sash and the flowers the color of my bms dresses to match!! I loooove it:)

The one I would really like to get for my FG is $145 before taxes. I have contacted a little children's clothing boutique in Queens to see if they can make this dress for less $$ but have yet to hear back from them.
The website my mom was considering for her dress - LightintheBox.com - actually has a very similar dress on that site for $67 so when she orders her dress we will see how well it's made and if everything looks ok I may order the dress from there instead. I won't be ordering the FG dress until we are closer to the wedding anyways. These kids grow fast!
EDIT: also, I just want to add that we are going to be paying for the FG dress and the RBs suits ourselves. If the parents were paying, I would definitely find something as inexpensive as possible.

We got our FG dresses from mygirldress.com and I think that the dress and petticoat were, total, $34 each. They are worth checking out, for sure! Pics in my 'wedding' album of my adorable fgs!!

We haven't purchased it yet but the one I think we're going to get (which is PERFECT) is like $60! Works for me. Works for FSIL.

i told my FG's parents to buy any red dress for her ... i suggested a few that were $40-50 ... but they bough the one from David's Bridal for $80 + tax. Their loss.

after having a similar problem I ended up telling the FG's moms to get them any white or light ivory dress and we are going to make sashes for them out of the extra fabric when my BMs get their dresses hemmed

i think it came out to 85... it was from DB... and since my dress was from DB we got the discount...
DONT go to DB for alterations they cost as much as the dress itself

Look into overstock.com they have great ones!!!!!! Also one of the girls on here suggested communion dresses from sears. I know burlington coat factory has a big selection of dresses too!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't worry I got you!!!!!!!!! What type are you looking for?

i haven't had them order her dress yet but they are all over $150, one was like $300+ and the other was like 250-ish its crazy!!!!
but i know that thr tri county has amazing fg dresses for much cheaper!

Aw, thanks! I would really like it to kind of match the BM dresses, which are dupioni (sp?) material. Ideally I'd like it to be sage or pistachio green with a brown sash. But then I was thinking it may be cheaper to get an ivory dress and just put a green sash on it? oy, why is this the hardest decision so far?!?!
