Does anybody mind sharing how much you were required to leave for your DJ deposit? I was just told 895.00 and that seems really high, but I dont' know.....maybe that is average??

We are planning on booking TGIF. We have seen them at two weddings and they were the best DJ we have ever seen at a wedding. (High Energy, but not in-your-face) My FI swears that when we met with the owner a few weeks ago, he told us 'a couple hundred' for a deposit. We are meeting with him tonight and I just called to verify exactly how much, and the receptionist called back and said $895!! FI is sure she is mistaken... I hope so!!!

So, so far it seems the deposits really vary. From everybody's posts, deposits go from $50.00 - $750.00. I guess it depends, but it still seems really high to me. FI assures me when we get there we won't have to leave that much!!

He asked us for $100 deposit but then ended up buying my old digital camera from me for $100 so we called it even :) $895 seems like way too much!
