How much for invitations?

How much for invitations?

OK, I am clueless about this one. Before I start looking around, I am wondering how much they cost. I have no idea!

Mine were $950 + $200 to tie the ribbon
plus $200 to print the names on the envelopes

I am sure most normal people could tie the ribbon them sleves- but I just don't have any desire to things myself!

I went for a plainer, simpler invitation because of my budget. The original one I liked would have been $1,000 and I thought this seemed ridiculous for a piece of paper that people throw out, so I got a plainer one that came to $300 and they are very nice.

It depends what you want. I wanted something plain and I only spent $187 for 125 through exclusivelyweddings.com. Invatations was something I didn't want to spend a lot of money on. Check online there are tons of sites.

Ours was the same. Simple, yet elegant.

What is the point of really spending a large chunk of your budget on invites when they most likely will get thrown out eventually? I plan on getting very plain invites that are as inexpensive as possible, yet still nice of course!

I am with you on the bow beth ahahhaha. heck no was I tying 165 bows and attaching a leaf to each one!!!! well well worth the extra $$...as for me, it was about 1800,hand made, inner and outer env (inner lined), names in inner env., the tied bow and attached leaf as mentioned above, response card set, direction card and reception card....

everyones taste is different, yes most if not all people will throw them away, however every invite i liked online that was a decent price, i ordered the sample and it was so small, flimsy etc.... IMO its not a waste of $$, i wanted good quality paper and I wanted to stick with my whole autumy leaf theme, this is what I ended up with. to each their own...

I plan to spend no more than $500 on mine - I just can't justify the cost otherwise. I'd rather spend the money on more flowers or a better photographer.
