How much for Photography

How much for Photography

I have not booked a photographer yet. My sister, who is a photographer is recommending someone who she has worked with. Basically, the lady will take the pictures and my sis will do all the leg work (i.e. digital albums and such), the price I got for just the day/pics is about $1000. I haven't met with the lady yet, but just in case I do not like her I need to know the going rate for photogs and also any recommendations!

PS Check out my sisters site, she is a LIW vendor...and is having a baby in 2 1/2 weeks www.heronhouseimaging.com

You are lucky you can do that. So far, the lowest package deal I have seen is $2500. If you like her work, you should definitely take advantage.

1K is a great price as long as you like her work

I have seen 3 so far and haven't seen what I want for under $3,500. So I would say 1,000 is a STEAL!

The price is def great but it also depends on everything you are getting (how many pics, how many albums, etc). We used Proline Studios for both our photographer and video and we spent just under $5,000. That included our 16x20, 8x10s, 5x7, our thanks yous, plus the 2 parent albums

$1k is an amazing deal - we checked out a few photographers & for what we wanted - the range was between $4,800 & upwards of $9,500 (both quotes including videographer though). I know someone who used a family friend to take the weddings pics (a professional photographer) - & she ended us saving lots of money & had a much more personalized album.
