We spent about $2.00 a piece for dolphin bottle openers. They have great prices at wrapwithus.com or at their store in Syosset.

Re: how much is everyone spending on favors?
So far $2.80 for the chopsticks per person
Still haven't decided if we are putting out little fortune cookie placecard holders yet. We are trying not to spend more than $5 each person.
We already expect (hope) people take the lucky bamboo at the table (4 on each table) and the candle holders with red candles (4 on each table) and the actual centerpiece lantern (1 per table)

The wine stoppers I'm interested in are 2.95 per favor, I think. I'm sure not going to spend a lot on favors.

Re: how much is everyone spending on favors?
Mine are about $10 per couple, this does not include the wrapping cost.
I am doing Lenox vases, actual flower vases not bud vases. I will post a pic later when I get home.
Ours are about $7.00 per couple. We are having heart shaped cookie cutters, they come with a cute little card that has a sugar cookie recipe on it, and we are having sugar cookies made up from Plain Jane Baking Co. with icing that matches our colors. We had another favor we had already started making, but then we had a quick change of plans, but I like this better anyway.

Re: how much is everyone spending on favors?
About $8.00 per couple plus boxes/ribbons. We are doing 2 favors. One is a heavy duty lobster/nut cracker and the other is a bar of chocolate with a specialized wrapper.

Re: how much is everyone spending on favors?
We're doing a donation and haven't figured out the specifics yet. But probably $5-7 pp for the donation and then an additional $2 or so, pp, for chocolates or truffles.

Re: how much is everyone spending on favors?
Our bottle stoppers were about $2 each (One per couple) and we are doing the table place candles (which I got already during the big votive sale at Michaels) so they have those too. In all with supplies and wrapping, I would say about $3-4 each.

Re: how much is everyone spending on favors?
We made a donation. Nobody needs to know how much that is. Then, we had mini scrolls made and attached them to tulle rounds with personalized ribbon, that each had earth shaped chocolates in them.
All in all, without the donation, about $3.50 pp (the scrolls were give to us at cost and made by the companies owner so she didnt' have to pay staff, so they were only $2 versus the $7.50 they would have been - they did this because we made a donation and had a personal relationship with them), then another $3.50 pp approx. for donation.
You could spend MUCH less and just make a donation and have a pamphlet from the charity on the tables (they will send them free), and a card at each plate telling them a donation has been made in their name, or a framed poem at each table telling them just that.
but I know that there are several that will even give you the cards for free with the donation.
