How much $$$ is everyone spending on their MOH gift?

How much $$$ is everyone spending on their MOH gift?

I bought my MOH along with all my BMs a beautiful pendant from Tiffany's. I want to get her the matching earrings as her 'little extra' present because she's my MOH, and the total for her gifts would be $400. I think this is fine, but my mother is saying that this is too much money and I'm going overboard.

The pendants were all $150, and the matching earrings are $225.

My mother is recommending getting her an entirely different pair of earrings that are less expensive.

I'm not sure what to do at this point. Granted the earrings are more than I wanted to spend, but I just don't know.

The decision is really yours - which I'm sure you know already! I think if you want to be generous with your MOH, then you should. Both pairs of earrings are very pretty and I'm sure your MOH will love them both. One thing to consider, she might get more wear out of the 2nd pair...

Weird that the earrings are more than the necklace, no?

I spent about $450.00 on my MOH, BUT - she was the only one in my BP (we only had a MOH and Best Man) and she did SO much!
She planned and payed for my shower, made my place cards and programs, and was my best friend and total support through all the planning and EVERYTHING!!!!! She derved that and more!

I want to get her the first pair...but, I started to think exactly what you said...the second pair she could wear a lot more. Knowing her, she'd wear the 'matching pair' maybe every other year.

I think you should spend what you feel comfortable with. Everyone's budget is different.

If you think she will wear the 2nd pair of earrings a lot more, then, IMO, I would get her those earrings. (What good is a gift if it ends up sitting in a jewelry box?)

i think that the second pair is really pretty and that she will probably more likely to wear them again. sometimes it isn't how much money you spend, but what you put into the gift. i know its a cliche', but its true.

I have the knots and I wear them all the time.

It might be nice not to have a set - the necklace for some dressier events, the knot earrings for every day....

i'm wearing the love knots today and i love them!
and it hink it's sweet to give love knots as a wedding type gift because of the semtimental meaning attached.
but i also love the matching necklace and earring set. and i'm sure your MOH would love it too!
I personally, spend about $150 on my MOH's gift....about $50 more than my bridesmaids

good luck - you can't make a wrong choice with those gifts - they're both beautiful!

I LOVE the knot earrings I have a lot of things I have received from tiffany's as gifts over the years and they are one of my favorites I wear them frequently. And the necklace is beautiful

My MOH is my sister and I spent about $500+ on her. I got her a pave diamond heart with sapphires at the points. Sapphires are her birthstone.

Im buying the knot earings for my bridal party as part of their gifts, and for my mom and FMIL as part of their gifts, its a nice gesture..you do what you can afford, people may spend alot more on their bridal party, but may not be paying for their wedding, or they may be paying for their wedding and still paying alot for the bridal party gifts, everyone is ona different budget so do what you can afford..thats whats important!!!
