how much is Pre-Cana costing you???
I was just wondering how much it's costing for your Pre-Cana classes up there on Long Island? For me down here in North Carolina, it's going to cost us $100. Is that average?

Our precana didn`t cost anything. Instead they asked us to donate some of our time to help out with a program they have for homeless women (took less than 1 hour). The monsignor told us that churches do not have to ask for payment and the cost is completely up to the individual church.

we paid $60 for 4 in-home sessions with host couples
We paid $60 for the in home sessions, which amounted to a total of one intro class, 4 sessions (communications, decision-making, sexuality and spirituality) and a final Mass that was our 'graduation'. It wasn't that bad, we actually enjoyed outselves and never felt it to be intrusive.

For us...
The first session is orientation, then the second is taking a Focus Survey, the third, is meeting with a married couple at the church and going over the answers with them, and then the fourth is meeting with a priest and going over paperwork.

If you get married in the Catholic church, you are required to go to pre-marital 'counseling' before marriage. In my church, you meet with married couples and discuss issues that you'll face during marriage - finances, child-rearing, sex, etc.Welcome New Vendors
