it really is up to you.... some people go all out and have a mini wedding, others have something low key.. i myself am just having a luncheon with our immediate families at a restaurant.

I wouldnt go all out...as I'd rather spend the money on my wedding or honeymoon. But if money is no object...go crazy and throw a great party. My parents are thankfully handling mine...it's a backyard catered party...and probably wont cost much more than $2,000...I hope

Depends on what you can afford to do


It's really up to you. Everyone's E-Pary is different. Either its at a hall, resturant, home, backyard etc so it's hard to put a price on what is too much.

Also depends on how many people you plan on inviting.

What kind of place are you looking for to have it?

As the other girls said, it really depends on what you want. My future in laws paid for most of the party, FH & I paid for some little things and my mother paid for some other little things as well. Total we spent about $3k and it was tight to keep it at the budget.

me and FH spent about 6K on our party....no help, just us!

my parents paid for our party, it was their gift to us. we had it at a place and we had about 92 people. it cost about 5K

ours is under 1,500.. we are renting a hall and doing a beer wine soda tab and catering yummy italian food!! for 50-60 people
