How much is too much for a wedding dress? Weight

I was wondering in what your shops told you and what you have experienced for when you drop pounds for a dress. I heard two dress sizes is okay to take in.. but how many pounds is that really?

I just dropped 13 lbs in a month ( i was 7 lbs lighter when I got measured and packed 7 lbs on before i went on ww so in my measurements for my dress its only 6lbs lost). I want to really drop about 20-25 lbs before the wedding and that is it.

What would happen?

I think it also depends on the fabric of your dress... if it's mostly lace or beadwork, it might be hard to take in. But for most dresses I think 25 pounds to lose would still be ok (I think that's like 2 sizes). hth! congrats on the weight loss

It really depends on the person. There is no forumla of size to weight.

What are your past experiences?

My experience is when I was 25 lbs heavier I was 3 sizes bigger. However now the weight seems to be coming off my thighs and arms, so its not really changing my dress size.

You should ask your seamstress how much can they take in your dress.
