How much is your DH involved with the TTC process?

Besides the obvious role he plays, is he also involved in the other things? Timing, proper positions, OPKs etc.?

I feel like I'm doing all the work on this - he just kind of rolls his eyes when he sees me take my temp in the mornings or check my saliva microscope. I make sure the positions and timing are right.

Last night I told him it was time to BD, and he was like 'why?' so I got all ticked off and said I felt like he didn't want a baby.

He says he does want a baby, but he doesn't seem to think there is any planning involved. I know most of the signs are within my body, but I feel like he should be taking an interest at least?

Is anyone else experiencing this? Do we just chalk it up to one more great thing about being a woman??

I'm a little frustrated with my DH too! We've been TTC 8 months, using OPKs. Now I'm seeing an RE, going thru all the diagnostic tests, and I'll be starting Clomid my next cycle and getting an HSG.

I feel like I'm carrying *all* the burden here. Obviously I'm the one 'timing' things with OPKs, and the one time over the past year when he wasn't in the mood to do it at the key time, I was soooo irritated! Also, with the RE and all these tests/medications-- *I'm* the one going through all these yucky tests and doctor's visits, and *I'll* be the one putting these medications into my body. I know that's just how it is biologically, but it's still really annoying.

To his credit, he's really excited about us starting a family and talks about it all the time. But all the unpleasant parts of TTC do seem to fall on the woman's shoulders!!!!!

DH is very excited to have a family and he isn't complaining about BDing - although he did say it all felt so 'mechanical' and 'un-romantic'

I guess it kind of is so I just keep it to myself about temps and surges...I just let him know if the night is right to BD that he cant go to sleep until we BD no matter how tired he is.

I can honestly say that he is pretty much up to the challenge any day and any time I mention it.. LOL Men...

DH didn't help much for the first year of trying (besides being ready, willing and able at the proper times) The second year he has been much much more involved and has been a better support for me as well.

My hubby was NEVER invovled int he planning. Most of them don't know all the planning that it entails. Every morning my husband would see me with the basal thermometer in my mouth he'd say 'Do you have a fever?' Every morning for about 2 weeks, I'd want to strangle him!

Dh is excited about it, but does not show as much concern as I would like about my cycles, etc.

I get 'don't worry about it' ALL the time. Makes me crazy.

Me too!!

It's like they think 'don't worry about it' makes the issues go away!!

I'm glad I'm not alone in this.
