how much is your florist costing?

I feel tacky asking but I am thoroghly confused!!! I have 3 proposals from 3 florists....they are much more $ than I had anticipated. What are you guys paying for your flowers? And what does that include?
Mine are ranging 3-4K for:
9 tables (tall arrangements)
1 bridal boquet
2 BMs
3 bouteneirres
1 huppa
escort table
linens

Perhaps I am just not being realistic about what this costs, but I am apalled!

i'm paying almst 4K but i think mine included a lot...

13 CPs
2 arrangements for the church
1 bridal boK
6 BMs
2 FGs
8 boutennieres
tent decorations
and i'm drawing a blank on the rest

I was quoted by one florist $500 but all it includes is:

1 bridal bouquet(all red roses)
3 BM's bok
2 cousages
6 boutennieres

Mine was $2500
--Based on 18 tables:
1/2 high centerpieces
1/2 low centerpieces
1 bridal bouquet
8 bridesmaids bouquets
1 groom bout
7 groomsmen bouts
2 bouts for the dads
2 (some sort of small bouquet, but not really a bouquet) for the moms
2 corsages for the grandmas
rose petals for the passing trays at the cocktail hour
rose petals for the card table
cake decorations if needed

I think thats it.... we're not having church decorations.. i may just do a few bows myself...or just have nothing.

I rec'd 1 quote that was slightly lower than what I got and also another that was a little higher.

That sounds pretty high to me. What type of flowers are you getting? Sometimes that drives up the cost. Have you checked out Burtons? They're supposed to be pretty inexpensive. I'm using LA Blossom and she gave me a great price.

How much is each thing caosting you, because that sounds rather expensive.
Mine is around $2500 for
15 tables (low)
1 bridal
1 MOH
5 BM
6 bout, plus 2 fathers, plus ring bearer
2 mothers corsages
2 grandmothers
2 flower girls
2 church pieces
pew bows

and some other stuff that I can't remember off hand

edit: and it costs as much as it does because I am using orchids and mini cala lillies

we are at 6k with the florist ...

18 tables - high centerpieces
1 bridal bouquet
1 matron of honor
4 bridesmaids
5 groomsmen
2 fathers
2 mothers corsages
1 grandmother
1 grandfather
1 flowergirl
1 chuppah

plus we are having the ceiling decorated with lights and tulle for $1500, so the flowers are really $4500 for flowers

about $450 i think:

1 bridal bo-k
2 BM/MOH bo-k
6-8 boutinerres
2 mom's corsages
2 reader's corsages
and a BUTT LOUD of rose petals for our 14 CP's. (i'm doing hurricane lamps with pillar candles, and need the petals for inside the lamp, like the pic above)

that price includes delivery. and the flower will be all purple/lavendar shades of calla lillies and roses (oh and white/cream colored too)

It's so crazy b/c I am getting such high quotes, much higher than what you girls are saying your are getting for your money! I do have more tables (like 25) but I'm doing 1/2 high, 1/2 low and the quotes I'm getting, the cheapest was Burton's was $3,600 and they go up from there. I'm not asking for any exotic flowers either (roses and hydrangea for the cps). I've been to all the florists (FM, Pedestals, Fleurissima, Little Flower Shoppe, Lovin Oven, James Cress, Verbena, etc.) and they are all in the same ball park. I don't get it.

Oh well. I'll figure it out!

We're locked in to one of a few choices by our shul/hall, so we're not exactly bargaining from a position of strength, but tall arrangements + an elaborate chuppa can add up. Also, if you did ringlets instead of BM bo-ks, that could help too.

We're on the lower end of that range as well thus far, though we've got twice as many tables and twice the bridal party (we're doing low cps and ringlets instead of bo-ks)

I am fortunate enough to have co-owned a flower shop with my sister and we both know how much money we can save by doing our own flowers......so that's what she did and I am doing. Since we know how to do the design already, all I needed was to ask my bridesmaids if they can help with that .....

We are planning to get all the flowers done the Thursday prior to the wedding and leave them all in the reception hall cooler and have our DOC to do the rest the day of :)

Here is our breakdown:

Our Estimated Total will be $1000.00

1 bridal bouquet
10 bridesmaids bouquets

2 bouts for the dads

Nothing for the church at all.
