I met with the makeup lady yesterday and told her I don't wear much makeup so she said that she'll do a natural look. I never wear foundation or concealer or anything so I am not sure if she was caking on the makeup or if it was normal. I don't want the pictures to come out badly if I refuse to wear foundation. She put the foundation all over my face and then applied something else that looked the same. We took some pictures while the makeup was on so I guess I'll wait and see how they come out.
Also, I am trying to find a picture of Julia Roberts hair when she won an Oscar for Erin Brockivich (she was wearing the black and white dress). Does anyone know where I could find that? I've seen it around in magazines but now that I want to find it, I can't!

there is a picture of it in the new Brides' magazine- it is the Hollywood themed issue. It shows a picture of her hair from that Oscar's.

I think you should use enough makeup to make you look like the best version of you. If you wear heavy makeup everyday then go all out. If you do the natrual thing with maybe some mascara and lipstick that stick to minimal makeup with subtle tones and coverage.

Have you tried doing airbrush? I hear that it feels really lite on the face and it doesn't feel cakey. You should checkout JN for make-up, alot bride uses her for make-up and all I hear are great things.

I think that the foundation all over your face is important for the photos. It will even out your skin tone, and make you look absolutely perfect!

I went for my trial and had the airbrush done. It looked great, until i got outside- my skin looked gross. It was way to heavy, and I could feel it. I plan on telling her to lighten it up a little on that day.

I don't wear much make-up at all...and I am not advocating caked-on make-up...but for something to last the whole day and to show up in pictures (especially if you want b/w) you need much more than you normally do...
I've never tried air-brushing...but it might be something you should test...
good luck

Every photographer I talked to said Make up artists are wonderful, because even though it may feel like A LOT OF MAKEUP, it comes off wonderful in the photos. Too little make up can leave you looking washed out in photos.

I recommend Jacquelyn Nicole or Jennifer from Fairytale, they are amazing and do airbrushing & it looks like you have NO makeup on.
Jennifer also does hair, she is incredible
Call them

airbrushing is a foundation that is sprayed on from a 'gun', it is very light and airy & lasts so long. Your skin looks flawless.
air brushing is SO GOOD - my cousins have both used it on days when they were broken out and they looked stunning!!! And it is oil free and wasn't cakey at all
