How much should favors $$$$

How much should favors $$$$

I have been browsing and it seems that they will cost around $4-5. If you wrap or add little touches yourself you can really save money. I was thinking of attaching table seating cards to the wrapped boxes so I can be sure that I have given the favors to the correct people. I mean, so that I can be sure that each couple or single is getting the favor. Not sure yet.

That's the key - Above and Beyond. "TIP" is derived from "To Insure Promptness" and should be to thank someone for extra-special service that is beyond what you contracted for. The only possible reason for having the Maitre'D tip separate is that you MIGHT avoid extra tax on that. I was told that when it's Gratuities included then they have to Tax you on the gratuities because the catering hall is taking the money as part of the overall fee and is taxed on it.

WOW!

I like the idea of a goodie bag for the kids. There will only be a few small kids from our immediate families but that's a good idea...sometimes they can play for hours with simple (and new) stuff

My hall is charging me 15% gratuity plus a $150 fee for the maitre'd. Do you think I still have to tip him? $150 doesn't seem like a lot. Maybe they just do that so the maitre'd doesn't get stiffed?

Great Favor - If you like cute

I bought some of those same teddy bears as Kate. However, I'm using them for the little girls attending...as their favors. I bought little top hats and some flowers and will be hot glueing the items (and tulle for a veil) to make a little bride and groom set. And, I bought a little porcelin tea set at Toys R Us (on major sale for $2) for each girl. Then, I made a satin draw-string bag for everything to go in.
