how much should flowers cost?

Can I ask approximately what you spent on flowers and what you got?

I'm trying to figure out if my budget estimates are accurate... Thanks!

I think anywehre from $2500-3500 is a good price.

If you still haven't book a florist, check out Flowers By Burton. Theyre located in Melville. I used them for my July 2006 wedding and they were very reasonably priced, their flowers lasted all day and didnt die or wilt, and theyre very knowledgeable & helpful.

I booked my florist the other day and we are paying $1,680 and we are getting:

-12 centerpieces with roses petals scattered on the tables
- My BOQ
- MOH Boq
-4 Bridesmaid Boq's
-2 flower girl baskets
-2 mother corsages
-7 buttonieres

Included at no additional charge:
-My tossing BOQ
-My table flowers
-cake decorations

I booked last week and my total came out to $1300. This is what I got:

Bridal Bok: Rose and Orchid Cascade
1 MOH Bok (roses)
3 BM Bok (roses)
3 corsages
10 bout.
church (2 altar arrangements & 8 pews w/ bows & flowers)
1 home arrangement
reception 6 ivy bowl centerpieces w/ white roses, rose petals, and a giant oblong arrangement for bride & groom table)
1 throw away

8 centerpieces (match BM bo-ks, in antique buckets)

oh, almost forgot, arrangement for the ladies room

also keep in mind flower costs vary with season and what flowers you want... flowers like roses are considered 'season-less'.....

Burton's isn't taking any more orders for July so if I were you I'd call soon since you are August .. so since I couldn't go with Burtons I got the following with Flowers by Rosemary -
3 boquets
7 corsages & 7 butineers
she is throwing in the toss boquet and rose petals ...
all this for $467 ..
i didn't need centerpieces ...hth

our flowers cost us $500...
we got my bo-k
5 bm bo-ks
8 bouts
2 corsages
2 presentation roses
throw away bo-k
flower petals for tables (we did our own candle centerpieces and sprinkled rose petals around them)
we used flowers by gilda.

This is what we got from Pedestals for $3000:

Bridal Bok: All calla lillies with fall berries
1 MOH Bok (calla lillies, roses and fall berries)
4 BM Bok ( calla lillies, roses and fall berries)
2 nosegay bok's (for MOB and MOG)
8 bout.
1 nosegay bok and 1flower basket (for 2 FG's)

church (2 altar arrangements & 10 pews w/ bows & flowers)

16 reception CP (tall CP's with votives on the table and flower petals)
arrangement for bride & groom table

1 throw away cok
flower petals for church and placecard table
flowers for the cake too!

Well I am using the house florist for cp-so that's already included in the price per person. for $720 (flowers by Burton) this is what I am getting
1-bride bok
6-bm bok
2-fg baskets
3-corsages
12-bouts
3-sets of pew bows
2-alter sprays

I HIGHLY reccomend meeting with Burtons before you book a florist. It doesn't matter what flowers you use-they charge by say each bok....so you could do all roses or all daisy and it would all be the same price! Good Luck!
