I think we're looking at $4500 right now, but since we're having a small wedding we decided against a second photographer - it will be more if you have a bigger wedding because there's so much they need to capture!

I budgeted from the top down using the MBA Bride Budget Template and ended up with a budget of around $4400 or so. Sounds like you're working from the bottom up. If you download the template you may be able to easily come to a good number for you.

We're paying $4300 for photo and video, we have different vendors though. It's always good to do a lot of research.

We're paying about $6600 which is a bit more than I wanted to spend, but that's with all our albums and everything we wanted in our packages, plus I love both of them!

we were trying for 3500 which is possible from our pricing so far (no albums, will do later) but we may have to squeak it up to 42/4300

We went for a more basic package and we are paying $1500. 2 photographers for 8 hours. no video, which we had decided early on. We just didn't want to spend on that (considering everyone will be using cell phones to record etc.)and for the things we will want to see after, like toasts, we will be able to have someone else tape it.
We are also in love with our photographer, but she has raised her prices a bit for 2012.

We are paying just under 5k for both photo and video. We have everything we wanted and more in our pckg.. our album, parent albums, eshoot, 2 photogs, etc....
