how much should tips be and for who?

We put all the cash into labeled envelopes, 'DJ', 'Video', etc., and gave a couple to the Best Man, a couple to another GM and the rest to my dad to hand out.

gratuity for the limo is already included in our contract (20%) so im not tipping twice


band - how much? 4 person band

if youre going to tip photo and video you do it that night for the work they did that night and being there

maitre'd is usally $3-$5 per guest...or 2-5 maybe....we were lucky cause our maitre'd basically told us what to tip him and it was an acceptable amount to us so we were all set. I didn't have a bridal attendant but I wanna say i've read on here that you tip them $100 or $150??? Other girls would know better with that.

We tipped our photo and video right there. They were running around like madpeople all day. They get the balance of the contract amount when we get the finished products, but you tip them the day of for the work they do that day. Remember, they still have to develop your pictures

Band not sure, we gave our DJ & MC $100 each.

The bridal attendant I was told b/w $75-$125.

The maitre'd I was told $3-$4 per guest.

You have to do what you're comfortable with. If you do a tipping search on here, there's a TON of threads on it....you'll see what others do and then you can go from there.

this is how I was breaking it down:

$2-3 Maitre D per guest
Photo/video are husband and wife - ~$150
Flowers- delivery guy will get $10
Limo- Ours $50, other 2- $35 ea.
Trolley- $100-$150
Shuttle- $40
Bridal Attendant- ~$100
Band- $35/member- poss more
Hair -$50
M/u- $30
Food deliver to my house the day of- $15


And we're going to give our BM a favor

I think there's more ppl but i don't remember- who am I forgetting???

wow! I think I'm being cheap! shiit! I'm going to have to reconsider my tipping strategy

The Maitre D' we were told was $3-$4 per guest- we did $4 per guest as the service was top notch.

We tipped the hair and makeup ladies- not sure how much since MIL took care of it for me.

We also tipped the limo driver an additional $50.00 since his tip was included in our contract but we felt it wasn't enough for the service that he provided that day.

I didn't have a bridal attendant so that took care of that.

We gaver our DJ, Photographer, and Videographer $100.00 each in envelopes with a nice card that we wrote in. There were no assistants but had there been we would have tipped them as well.

We gave our BM a favor as well.

The shuttle guy (since we used the hotels shuttle) was included in the fee for the shuttle.

We also personally gave the tips to everyone that we had.. they were a bit surprised that it didn't come from someone in the bridal party of the parents.
