I agree with the others - $80 is good if you don't know her. If you're in a position to spend more and want to, then add some little things to it. (I'm so worried we won't get all the little things we registered for at Crate & Barrel, but those inexpensive things are things we want and need, too!) I would probably spend around $100 if I were close to the girl's fiance...

Otherwise, $80 should be just fine! That's a very generous gift!

TRUST ME, $80 is EXTREMELY generous for someone you're not close to. You said you're not even that close with her fiance anymore! I meant $80 was really generous!! If you were closer, you could justify spending more, but you're going beyond what's necessary, and I'm sure it'll be much appreciated.

nope 80$ is fine for a shower gift,

$80.00 is plenty for a shower gift and remember you will also be putting something into the wishing well so that bring the amount of the gift up.
