How much stuff have you bought from your own registry?
Before the shower, we bought stuff whenever it went on clearance.
My shower was a couple weeks ago and I got A LOT of stuff. But, I really didn't get any silver or crystal. I don't know if I should start buying it or wait until after the wedding. Or, maybe just buy some of it?

Wait until after your wedding. People might want to give it to you as a wedding present. It's not that far off. There will be other sales in the years to come if you don't get it all.

Nothing! Though FH;s grandma is sick, so we're gonna use the $$ she gave us to buy a seder plate, and the $$ my grandma gave us to buy something else special. They both have cancer
Other than that, we'll buy stuff if it's discontinued, or else wait until we get 10% off after the wedding. We have no $$ anyway.

I buy so much stuff on our registry. My FI had to stop on several occasions. I am out of control. I check all the time and when something is going to be discontinued or on clearance I buy it. It took me so long to pick everything out, I don't want to not get it. My poor parents I took over both of there houses with my stuff

where are these places where the stuff goes on clearance? Id definatley be buying if it went down noticeably in price... i havent bought stuff off my registy but if i go out and find it ALOT less somewhere else then i buy it.. I figure i save money because instead of someone buying me something overpriced they can buy something else off the list...
keep in mind, most places give 10% off after the wedding to buy the remaining stuff...

i wouldn't buy anything off of my regisrty until after my wedding my parents bought me a fe wthings but we have gotten so much for engagement presents and they keep coming.
After our wedding at Fortunoff you get like 10-20% off the left over stuff something like that

LOL!! Me too!!! I practically purchased my entire Crate & Barrel registry!! Okay, not REALLY but sorta!

i get addicted going to the stores and finding kitchen things close out.. i had originally registered $6 kitchenaid towels, then 2 weeks ago i found a 6 pack of them for $13... so i bought them...then i have a bunch of kitchenaid kitchen utensils... i bought all my dinnerware, and my flatware was all purchased for me... we had no engagement party but keep getting gifts from people... so im not too worried about having alot left after the shower...

I've bought 6 wine glasses, 6 champagne flutes, 6 goblets, cream and sugar, oval platter of our good china.

why buy it now - wait until you get your discount to complete the registry.
I do buy some things on ebay when i see a good deal. Some of the items on my registry are on ebay MUCh cheaper so I know I'm getting a decent deal. I won't buy anything at Fortunoff though (where I'm registered) I might as well wait and use the discount. Also - i may get most of it for my wedding so I will just wait.

We bought our entire set of everyday china. I also put fine china on the registry and didn't want only plates for my shower so we purchased the everyday ones ourselves.
