I'm FINALLY gonna start making appointments to go dress shopping!! sooo excited :)
but i wanna try to hit at least 2-3 stores a day, since most places i will be lookig at are gonna be in L.I. I wanna make the drive worth it (i live in Brooklyn) How long do the appointments usually go for an hour or more?

I was in the stores for more than an hour. I would plan doing one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I would not want to be rushed and feel like you have to leave because you have another appointment.

that was my fear being rushed and missing an appointment. i know i'll be stressed enough w/ my mom that day too lol

2 hrs between appt's should be ok, but if you dont want to be rushed, 3 hrs is best.

I did 2 appointments in 1 day- and I was at both places for like 1.5-2 hours and left about that much time between each...you could do a 9am, 12pm and 3pm easily

3hours to be safe sounds good :)
not 100% sure where i'll be going just yet, todays mission is to stalk everyone posts and check out the stores they went to lol
so if anyone knows of any recommendations i'll gladily take them lol especially if they sell Maggie Dresses :)
the 1st day we are gonna go to the city and start it off there, but there is like none in Brooklyn and more BM dress stores in S.I. then bridal.

I highly reccommend Geri @ Lillette's. She's so sweet and so patient. I also went to Bridal Village in Babylon but the dressing rooms there are small so I went in by myself , got the dress on by myself, then came out for the attentand to zip me up. They had a good selection as well.
I would definitely say 1 1/2-2 hrs tops for a bridal appt & 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon was plety for me. After a while the dresses all start to look the same....good luck.

haha i was worried about that, i start thinking they look the same when i go threw the knot mag of dresses lol
