I went to the post office yesterday to weight my invitation and the lady told me since you cant bend it's considered a package.....So it costs me $1.50 each!! Its just a regular envelop 5x7 not even a square! She said it was over 2 oz. Do you girl remember how much yours weight and how much it cost to mail one?

Mine are tea length pocketfolds and they cost $1.00 to mail.

The postal man told me mine were 1.17, so we put 1.26 on them--- they have a buckle also
I sent them yesterday, so if they come back, I'll be furious!

uggggg.....I am going to the post office tom after the tax people are out of the way.....lucky my family is freakish and lives all with in one square mile.....I am playing mailman today........for a $1+ an invite I don't care lol!!!

We just had ours weighed today and it costs $1.00. The only stamp we saw online was called 'Wisdom' for $1.00 but it looked a little to threatening so I found the .59 hearts and they have a .41 flowers stamp so I am going to use that!
I really wish I could have just done evites to my wedding because this is ridiculous!!!!!

Seriously!!! Why cant Emily Post edit her etiquette book to include invitations should be sent via evite!!! Its so stupid to spend $500 on invites and postage!!!!! I could use that towards furnishing my house!!

mine cost .59 they cost more if they aren't 'bendable' and don't fit in the little slot thing they have to put it through.

Mine were $1.00 to weigh. Make sure you bring it to the post office, don't use the postal machine at work because certain size envelopes require extra postage.

I just weighed my invites at work and it came out to 94 cents....55cents less than what the postoffice told me! I mailed one to FH house to se if it goes through! Its crazy that I spent over $400 on postage!!!!!!!!

Another question- if my envelope is a regular size and im pretty sure its less than 1/4 inch but doesn not bend that easy does it have to be hand cancelled? Maybe thats why they told me it was 1.50 for 1.....

a 2 oz invite is .59 .... this is what mine is but i have to pay an extra .20 bc it has a bump in it making it non-machineable... so grand total is .79, but im mailing them after the increase so it'll be .81 .... i ended up putting .94 stamps on the envelopes bc they went with my theme LOL
